Job description

Job Description

Are you the go-to fixer everyone relies on?

We’re looking for a Maintenance Technician who takes pride in doing the job right the first time. If you know how to prioritize under pressure, lead by example, and handle everything from leaky pipes to vendor walkthroughs, you’ll fit right in at Targa. This is more than turning wrenches — it’s about keeping a community running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

Who We Are

At Targa Real Estate Services, we manage communities—not just buildings. With more than 150 multifamily properties across the Pacific Northwest, we pride ourselves on integrity, efficiency, and heart. Our Property Managers are leaders, problem solvers, and stewards of both people and property. We're not here for micromanaging or red tape. We're here to support your success, back your decisions, and let you lead.

Who You Are

You’re the kind of person who sees a leak and already knows what tool you'll need. You can diagnose issues quickly, fix things the right way, and keep your cool when things get hectic. You care about doing the job right—not just fast. You’re great with tools, dependable with your time, and you don’t need someone to hover over you to get the job done. You’re a teammate, a problem-solver, and a solid communicator.

What You’ll Do

  1. Diagnose leaks and complete associated repairs (patching drywall, recaulking tubs, replacing fixtures, etc.)
  2. Tackle daily work orders—light plumbing, electrical, drywall repair, appliance fixes, touch-up painting, and minor carpentry
  3. Prepare vacant units quickly and thoroughly to get them move-in ready
  4. Complete preventive maintenance tasks to keep equipment running smoothly
  5. Respond to after-hours emergency calls as part of the on-call rotation (no lockouts required)
  6. Meet and support vendors for large-scale repairs (HVAC, sewer, etc.) and ensure they get done right
  7. Keep shared spaces clean, safe, and up to code
  8. Clearly communicate status updates with your team, manager, and residents

What You’ll Bring

  • 2-4 years of hands-on property or facilities maintenance experience
  • Solid troubleshooting skills with plumbing, electrical, drywall, and general repairs
  • Your own basic tools (we’ll provide the rest)
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation—some local property support may be required
  • Physical ability to lift, climb, kneel, and work indoors and outdoors
  • Comfort with mobile work order apps or basic digital systems
  • Pool certification is a plus (we’ll help you get it if you don’t have it yet)

What You’ll Get

  • A work family that supports your growth
  • Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match
  • Fun quarterly teambuilding and company events, employee engagement incentives, etc.
  • Two weeks of PTO, 10 paid holidays (including your birthday/floating holiday), and wellness time
  • A team that respects your time, doesn’t overload your plate, and actually listens to your input
  • Real opportunities for advancement as we continue to grow
  • Leadership that has your back when you say, “We need a vendor for that.”

Targa’s Promise

You’re not just a wrench or a name on a schedule. You’re what keeps our communities running, and our residents happy. We hire people who take pride in their work and treat them like the professionals they are.

Sound like your kind of gig? Apply now—we’ve got a toolbelt with your name on it.
