Property Maintenance Operative at Ettington Chase
Overall purpose of the role:
Maintain and enhance the reputation of The Venues Collection by effectively monitoring Ettington Chase Hotel security, grounds maintenance, and any small works repairs that may arise.
Ensure that maintenance operations are conducted in accordance with all Statutory Requirements and Company HSE.
Monday-Friday (contracted to 40 hours per week)

More about the role:
  • Promote a safety culture and ensure that you, your colleagues, and third-party contractors are aware of and operate in accordance with Company Safety and Environmental Procedures at all times.
  • Competent to be able to carry out both reactive repairs and planned preventative maintenance.
  • Provide access to and monitor any third-party contractors that may visit site.
  • To ensure the Compass Service Framework policies, procedures for HSE are always followed.
  • Cleaning of public areas and outside reception entrance and carparks.
  • Regularly inspect and ensure all public areas are kept to a high standard of hygiene, cleanliness regimes are maintained to the agreed delay and weekly cleaning schedules.
  • Maintain the grounds, lawns, shrubs using the gardening equipment provided (this involves the use of a ride on lawn mowers and petrol hedge trimmers/strimmer).
  • To work flexibly and attend management and site meetings and any training courses as may be required.
  • Carry out regular security walks and record any areas of concern.
Who you are:
  • An enthusiastic individual who can work unsupervised but is able to follow procedures.
  • Hands-on approach is required as the role will require gardening, cleaning, and maintenance duties.
  • A good communicator, able to liaise confidently with colleagues and managers, visitors.
  • Able to work flexibly in line with business requirements
  • Resilient and able adapt to change quickly to meet business needs.
  • Some lone working will occasionally be required.
  • Desirable experience of property maintenance, gardening, security.
