Job summary

The Wigley Group is seeking a versatile Maintenance/Handyperson to join our team. You will complete works across a diverse property portfolio, ensuring communal spaces meet standards and vacated properties are returned to required condition.

You will report to the Property Manager and be prepared to travel between sites daily, using a range of basic trades skills including painting, carpentry, plumbing and electrical work.

Qualifications

• Experience in all-round maintenance across commercial properties.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a family-run business.
• Able to travel between sites daily with a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out maintenance works across multiple properties to a set standard.
• Maintain communal areas and return unoccupied properties to required condition.

Job description

• Working Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:00 (35 hours per week)
• 24 days annual leave, plus your birthday off & Christmas shutdown

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for completing works across our extensive property portfolio. Reporting to our Property Manager, their focus will be on ensuring all communal spaces are maintained to a set standard as well as returning unoccupied properties to required condition.

The Candidate

We value a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Having the right person join our team is crucial. We are seeking a versatile Maintenance/Handyperson with previous all-round maintenance experience.

The successful candidate will ideally have practical skills in a number of the following areas, although experience across all areas is not essential:

• Painting and decorating
• Basic carpentry skills
• Basic plumbing skills
• Basic electrical skills
• Competent in using a range of tools and equipment
• Any other general maintenance works
