Job summary

Randstad Staffing is partnering with a prominent college group in South East London to recruit a Property Maintenance Assessor & Lecturer. The role combines two days of classroom teaching with three days mentoring carpentry apprentices in workplaces across the region.

You will assess learners, develop learning plans, and support EPA gateways while building strong ties with local employers. A Level 3 in Carpentry/PM, Level 2 English/Maths, and a teaching qualification are required or pursued

Qualifications

Minimum Level 3 Carpentry or Property Maintenance qualification plus Level 2 English & Maths.
Teaching qualification (PTTLS min) or assessor award (TAQA/A1/D32/D33) desirable or willingness to work towards them.
Strong communication and administration skills with a patient mentoring style.

Responsibilities

Plan, deliver and facilitate classroom and practical PMO sessions two days per week.
Coach Carpentry skills three days per week, visiting workplaces and conducting progress reviews.
Carry out learner assessments and track EPA progress toward gateways.
Conduct dynamic assessments and ensure documentation of on- and off-the-job training.
Build relationships with local employers to align opportunities with qualifications.
Maintain electronic records and monitor timely success rates.
