The Role

Employer: Purdy Contracts Ltd

Job title: Property Maintenance Apprenticeship

Location: Norfolk and Suffolk

Working Times: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00

Salary: £8.60 per hour

Equipment provided: Uniform

Our Expectations

You will be placed with experienced Multi Trade Operatives within the business to learn trade skills and start your career within the property maintenance field. Successful applicants will undertake a Level 2 Property Maintenance Operative qualification with a local training provider, as appropriate.

This is usually completed through on-the-job training, exercises set by the College (in work time), and on-site assessment from a College Assessor. You will also be required to attend College once a week as a minimum, for which you will be paid. The working hours are typically 08:00 to 17:00 to suit business needs. Applicants must have GCSE Level 4 or above in Maths and English.

  • Efficient time-keeping and punctuality skills: Manage your time effectively, meet deadlines, attend work or college on time, and balance your study and work responsibilities.
  • Positive attitude to learn: Be proactive, open to feedback, eager to acquire new skills, and show initiative in your growth. Demonstrate curiosity, enthusiasm, and a positive mindset toward learning in both academic and workplace settings.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally. Engage respectfully with colleagues, supervisors, and educators.
  • Working towards obtaining a driving license.
