Job summary

Complete Building South West Ltd in Yate is offering a 2-year property maintenance apprenticeship (Level 2). You will learn hands-on by repairing and maintaining buildings under supervision.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm, 40 hours per week; salary is discussed at interview. Successful candidates must live in Yate or have own transport and will train with South Gloucestershire and Stroud College.

Qualifications

• Must be living in Yate or have own transport or have a driving test booked as an absolute minimum
• Apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or training organisation; at least 20% of working hours spent training or studying

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, preparation and delivery of property maintenance tasks in accordance with building safety regulations and legislation
• Access and utilise work plans, job sheets, specifications, drawings/diagrams, information & data sheets, considering regulatory requirements and quality criteria
• Perform fault diagnostics to repair minor reactive plumbing and drainage issues
• Safely isolate electrical and emergency systems to enable maintenance work and report faults
• Carry out maintenance and replacement of components within water, environmental and energy management systems
• Use carpentry and joinery to repair or refurbish fixtures within properties
• Carry out minor plastering repairs and surface finishing
• Carry out painting and decorating on various surfaces
• Carry out tiling and flooring activities and repairs
• Communicate effectively using writing and digital tools with team members and customers
