A well-established and forward-thinking legal practice is seeking a talented and experienced Litigator to join its team, specialising in property-related disputes. This is a unique opportunity to work on high-value and complex cases across both commercial and residential sectors, with clients based locally and nationally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied caseload with a primary focus on property litigation, including mainstream contract disputes when required.
  • Handle landlord and tenant matters, including lease renewals under relevant legislation and dilapidations claims.
  • Conduct residential possession proceedings, demonstrating a strong grasp of housing law and statutory frameworks.
  • Resolve disputes between neighbouring property owners, including boundary issues, nuisance claims, and restrictive covenant enforcement.
  • Advise on conflicts arising from development projects and their impact on surrounding parties.
  • Provide guidance on long leasehold matters such as lease extensions, enfranchisements, and right to manage arrangements.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver strategic legal solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of property and contract law to ensure accurate and effective advice.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in property litigation.
  • Demonstrable expertise in landlord and tenant disputes, both commercial and residential.
  • Proven ability to manage disputes involving adjoining owners and development-related conflicts.
  • Experience in long leasehold work is advantageous; training can be provided.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and client-handling skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.
