Property Litigation Solicitor

Contract:

12 months Fixed Term Contract

WFH:

3 days working from home, subject to the company’s agile working policy

Director of Legal and Head of Litigation

Job purpose:

Working within the litigation team of a leading Asset Manager, providing legal support and advice on dispute resolution, litigation, and risk minimization. Knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 is essential.

Key accountabilities:

1. Liaising with senior management and external parties.
2. Managing property litigation cases from pre-litigation to trial.
3. Handling building safety and property litigation matters.
4. Collaborating with external solicitors and Counsel, monitoring costs.
5. Supporting internal clients on property legislation and compliance.
6. Maintaining case files, records, and reports.
7. Managing deadlines and protecting company interests.
8. Drafting and reviewing legal documents and policies.

Skills and knowledge:

1. Qualified Solicitor or Barrister in England & Wales.
2. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
3. Experience with the Building Safety Act 2022.
4. Knowledge of residential long leasehold properties.
5. Strong attention to detail, integrity, and reliability.
6. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
7. Excellent drafting and communication skills.
8. Experience in advocacy, conveyancing, and property finance.
9. Knowledge of GDPR legislation.
