An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Property Litigation Solicitor or FCILEx to join a well-respected and fast-paced housing management team in Exeter. This role is open to applicants from Newly Qualified (NQ) level up, with no upper limit on seniority. Whether you are at the start of your career or looking to take the next step, we encourage applications from all levels.
Role Overview: In this role, you will be handling a variety of property litigation matters, particularly in housing management. Your caseload will include disrepair claims, anti-social behaviour injunctions, breach of tenancy injunctions, possession claims, adverse possession, boundary disputes, and leasehold disputes. You will represent clients in County Courts and the Property Tribunal, and there will be an expectation that you conduct your own advocacy, particularly at directions and case management hearings.
You will also provide advice to clients, supervise junior members of the team, and maintain client relationships through direct contact, including delivering targeted training and preparing client communications such as newsletters.
Key Requirements:
Location: Initially, the role will be office-based in Exeter to ensure you are familiar with the team and processes. The role allows for hybrid working, but you will be required to attend the office at least two days a week, in addition to any court appearances and other duties.
