Property Legal Officer

London Borough Council

Hybrid, 1 day a month in the office

£25 - £36 umbrella per hour

Sellick Partnership are working with a London-based Local Authority seeking an experienced Property Legal Officer / Senior Paralegal.

This role will be offered on an initial 3-month basis, with a strong likelihood of extension. Majority of the role can be worked remotely, with office attendance required once per month. The rate on offer is up to £36 umbrella but there may be some flexibility for someone experienced in property matters within local authority.

The role entails carrying a caseload of legal property matters including but not limited to:

  • Right to Buy
  • Lease extensions
  • Collective enfranchisement
  • Licenses for alterations
  • Acquisitions of land

The client is ideally looking for someone with experience of working within a local authority setting, but experience in all of the above areas from a private sector background may also be considered. The successful candidate must have obtained a law degree, or equivalent qualification.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a property background who is keen to also expand their knowledge into Highways, Planning & Licensing.
