Colchester Borough Homes is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Property Inspector to join our Asset Management Team. This role helps improve the quality, safety and longevity of residents’ homes across Colchester.
You will lead on housing improvement programmes, defect investigations and hazard rectification projects, manage a varied portfolio of works and contracts, and mentor Assistant Asset Managers, Apprentices and Trainees to shape the next generation of housing professionals.
Permanent, Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Property Inspector to join our Asset Management Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in improving the quality, safety and longevity of residents’ homes across Colchester.
Working within a forward-thinking Asset Management Team, you will lead on the delivery of housing improvement programmes, defect investigations and hazard rectification projects. You will manage a varied portfolio of projects and contracts, ensuring works are delivered to the highest standards, on time and within budget.
The role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on residents’ lives through the management of works arising from Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) inspections and other property improvement initiatives. You will also have the opportunity to mentor and develop Assistant Asset Managers, Apprentices and Trainees, helping to shape the next generation of housing and property professionals.
