Job summary

Vertu Motors PLC is recruiting an Assistant Accountant to join our Property Finance team in a full-time, permanent role with a salary up to £30,000 depending on experience.

You will work closely with the Accountant and wider Property team, ensuring the financial performance of the property function is monitored and reported, providing important information to support decisions and continuous improvement in processes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working in a property related environment would be advantageous but is not required.
• A willingness to learn, the drive and determination to succeed and to seek out continuous improvement to all that we do are key to this role.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the production of Management Accounts
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Managing accruals and prepayments
• Fixed asset accounting, including accounting for capital development costs
• Supporting cash flow activities
• Producing financial reports and analysis
• Supporting the day-to-day accounting functions of the Property department including supporting the Accounts Assistants with purchase ledger processing and supplier payments
• Assisting with property-related financial reporting and expenditure monitoring
