Job summary

A leading national law firm with a highly regarded insurance practice is seeking a Solicitor or Associate to join its Commercial Insurance team. You will manage your own caseload of property damage claims and support senior colleagues on larger losses, handling first- and third-party property damage, policy coverage, product liability, and subrogated recovery matters.

You will progress matters from instruction to resolution, provide strategic advice to insurer clients, and mentor junior team

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with insurance focus.
• Experience handling property damage claims or assisting on such matters.
• Strong litigation and case management abilities.

Your new company A leading national law firm with a highly regarded insurance practice is seeking a Solicitor or Associate to join its growing Commercial Insurance team.

The team acts for a prestigious insurer and corporate client base, handling a broad range of complex property damage and insurance disputes across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and successful team with a strong reputation in the market, offering exposure to high-value and technically challenging work alongside genuine opportunities for career progression.

Your new role You will manage your own caseload of property damage claims whilst supporting senior colleagues on larger and more complex losses.

This work includes:

• First-party property damage claims
• Third-party property damage disputes
• Policy coverage matters
• Product liability claims
• Subrogated recovery actions
• Large loss and complex commercial insurance litigation

You will be responsible for progressing matters from initial instruction through to resolution, providing strategic advice to insurer clients and maintaining high service standards throughout.

Alongside handling your own caseload, you will play a key role in supporting and mentoring junior team members and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive
• Experience handling or assisting with property damage claims
• Knowledge of third-party property damage, policy coverage, product liability and/or subrogated recovery matters
• Previous wider insurance litigation experience for those looking to retrain
• Strong litigation and case management skills
• Excellent client handling and stakeholder management abilities
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, commercial environment
• A proactive and collaborative approach to team working
• An interest in developing junior colleagues and contributing to team success
