Job summary

ARM International in the United Kingdom invites applications for specialists to carry out property condition surveys, energy assessments and related health and safety tasks. You will identify defects, monitor contractor work and maintain accurate records to support maintenance plans.

The role requires knowledge of building maintenance, energy efficiency, fire safety and asbestos management, plus the ability to produce clear reports and comply with health and safety legislation.

Qualifications

• Experience carrying out property or building condition surveys.
• Knowledge of building maintenance, energy efficiency, fire safety and asbestos management.
• Understanding of relevant property health and safety legislation.
• Ability to identify building defects, risks and maintenance requirements.
• Good report-writing, record-keeping and IT skills.
• Experience managing or monitoring contractors is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out property condition surveys and identify defects and maintenance needs.
• Complete energy assessments and support EPC production.
• Undertake fire risk assessments and identify health and safety concerns.
• Identify asbestos-containing materials and maintain asbestos registers.
• Monitor minor asbestos removal contracts and ensure contractor compliance.
• Record survey findings and update property management systems.
• Prepare reports and advise on defects, repairs and remedial works.
• Check existing survey information to support planned maintenance.
• Identify housing health and safety risks and recommend actions.
