Job summary

MPJ Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Property Claims Adjuster for an office-based role in Nottingham. You will manage a varied portfolio of domestic and/or commercial property claims from notification through to settlement.

The role involves investigating losses, reviewing evidence, determining coverage and liaising with insurers, brokers and surveyors, while keeping customers updated and ensuring FCA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of domestic and/or commercial property claims through to resolution and settlement.
• Investigate claims to establish coverage, causation, liability and quantum.
• Assess claims involving buildings, contents, accommodation, and associated costs.
• Review surveyor reports, estimates and photographs for claim assessments.
• Interpret policy wordings and exclusions when making decisions.
• Liaise with policyholders, insurers, brokers, surveyors and contractors.
• Keep customers updated and explain claim decisions clearly.
• Negotiate settlements within delegated authority and client requirements.
• Identify complex or high-value claims requiring further investigation.
• Maintain accurate claims records throughout each case lifecycle.
