Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Commercial & Property Claims Handler in Halifax on a hybrid basis. You will manage a varied caseload of commercial and residential property claims from first notification through to settlement, working with clients, insurers and suppliers to achieve the right outcomes.

The role offers technical development, opportunities to progress into senior claims positions, structured development, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience handling commercial and residential property claims.
• Experience with high-value and complex property claims.
• Strong understanding of property insurance policies and coverage.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of commercial and residential property claims from notification through to settlement.
• Investigate claims by gathering evidence, reports and supporting information.
• Review policy terms to assess coverage and liability.
• Negotiate settlements within agreed authority levels.
• Coordinate with loss adjusters, contractors, surveyors and legal representatives.
• Keep claim files accurate and up to date.
