Job Title – Property Claims Handler (Contents)
Location – Manchester (2 days in-office, 3 days remote)
Job Type – Permanent
Salary – £30,000 – £34,000

The Company:

  • Our client is looking to expand their existing Property Claims team to support ongoing growth.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Book appointments for Adjusters, including gathering all relevant information to assist on-site assessments.
  2. Utilize management tools to monitor performance and ensure compliance with key SLAs for suppliers.
  3. Ensure adherence to "Active Drying" protocols using project management Gantt charts to track progress and updates.
  4. Maintain excellent communication with policyholders, brokers, and other stakeholders, keeping them informed of key events and changes.
  5. Manage claims proactively to reduce lifecycle durations and control costs by coordinating with suppliers.
  6. Challenge building scope variations and record all issues systematically.
  7. Handle a caseload effectively to meet SLA, proactive management, and fee targets.

Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of Property Claims processes.
  • Negotiation skills and ability to settle claims in line with TCF and client requirements.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with all stakeholders.
  • Capability to resolve complex and difficult claims.
  • Effective report writing and persuasive communication skills.
  • Structured approach to work with a focus on quality.
  • High standards of service delivery.
  • Empathy and effective communication at all levels.
  • Ability to plan and organize workload efficiently.

Technical competence and experience in handling property losses up to an agreed value are required.
