Job description

Arthur is excited to be partnering with one of the biggest start-up Syndicates in Lloyd’s history as they look to hire a Property Claims Adjuster. My client is a global specialist of high-risk, high-capacity insurance and reinsurance lines of business serving some of the world’s largest commercial and industrial companies.

Their claims team is at the front of the business, partnering with Underwriters to find solutions for their Clients. They have the highest quality and most experienced claims professionals ready to respond immediately when Clients need them most, helping them recover from disasters, resolving the most complex issues, as well as helping them learn from losses. In the claims team, they foster collaboration with all internal and external stakeholders, providing the highest quality customer service and continuous improvement.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with proven Lloyd’s & London market Property claims experience who is looking to progress their career.

You will be responsible for:

  1. Effectively and proactively managing a portfolio of Property claims by ensuring communications, new claims and notifications are dealt with in a timely manner and that any trends are identified and reported to relevant stakeholders.
  2. Providing oversight and direction related to coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation, reserving and proactive resolution of a book of product specific claims in accordance with agreed authority and Claim’s best practice guidelines.
  3. Providing superior customer service to policy holders and brokers, identifying where customer experience can be improved.
  4. Supporting underwriters and key stakeholders in connection with claim trends, marketing and business development.
  5. Interacting with and supporting management and all other relevant internal stakeholders with a view to effectively support underwriting growth and profitability.
  6. Providing support and insight to data and trends within the book of business.
  7. Working closely with the underwriters in reporting claims.
  8. Supporting the claims operations team to generate reports, monitor SLA’s, recover funds from 3rd parties and other ad hoc activities.

Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
  1. Proven experience handling Lloyd’s and London market property claims is essential.
  2. Experience of the Lloyd's claims scheme.
  3. Experience dealing with loss adjusters, lawyers and forensic accountants.
  4. Experience in handling CAT claims.
  5. A solutions-orientated mindset.
  6. A solid belief in teamwork who enjoys building trusting relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation.
  7. An agile, flexible and change-orientated mindset, and someone who is comfortable with ambiguity.
  8. A self-starter with a curious nature who is willing to challenge the status quo.
  9. A strong focus on numeracy, data and management information to provide insights to help the business make better decisions.
  10. Strong systems and data analytics experience.
