We have an exciting opportunity for a Property & Casualty Midmarket Underwriter to join our team in the Chelmsford/Essex area. You will be aligned to a portfolio of brokers/customers to proactively develop and profitably grow their existing commercial book of business within Aviva!

This is a great job for someone who can partner with brokers and customers to understand their needs, using data insight to provide comprehensive customer solutions.

About the role:

As an Underwriter, you will work collaboratively within our Southeast Underwriting team to support the Senior Underwriter and Team Manager in achieving financial goals. You should have excellent organization and time management skills, including the ability to manage your own schedule in a fast-paced environment. You will regularly visit brokers to develop and strengthen relationships and handle new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments.

Requirements:

• Previous Property and Liability underwriting experience
• Ability to analyze risks and communicate effectively with brokers and customers
• Experience working collaboratively within a large organization
• Knowledge of FCA regulations and relevant legislation
• Strong commercial business insight to create and deliver business cases
