Job description

We’ve got an exciting, new opportunity for a Property Assistant to join our regional operations team in Devon. A role which would see you taking accountability for cleaning standards in a specific geographic patch. Our Property Assistants provide an essential service to our homeowners; our managed service takes the stress away from letting out a holiday home, as we take care of cleaning, maintenance, check in – you name it, we’ll simplify the process and take the pressure away.

Awaze is Europe’s largest manager of holiday rental properties, with 110,000 units under management in over 600 destinations in 25 countries across the continent. Our purpose is simple – to delight owners and guests. The business operates more than 25 consumer brands including Cottages.com, Novasol and Hoseasons.


Role: Property Assistant
Location: Salcombe, with regular travel to properties in Devon.
Full-time, permanent (35 hours per week)
Saturday availability essential
9am–5pm office hours

What you’ll be doing
Under the guidance of the Regional Operations Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining our properties' high cleanliness standards and partnering with third-party cleaning teams to enhance guest experiences. You’ll play a key part in maintaining operational excellence across our portfolio in and around Devon.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and support a team of third-party cleaners
  • Set and maintain high cleaning standards across properties, and ensuring cleaners are appropriately trained.
  • Ensuring guest feedback on cleanliness is addressed appropriately.
  • Liaise with property owners to suggest improvements
  • Ensuring we have an appropriate supply of cleaners, for both present and future needs.
  • Use data to ensure quality, efficiency, and cost improvements
