Property and Casualty Underwriter

London

£55,000 - £65,000

Barker Munro recruitment is assisting in recruitment for a Global Insurance organisation within their multinational Team which is expanding their international client base.

As an Underwriter, you will be joining the growing Property and Casualty Multinational team. The team will have responsibility and oversight for Multinational business across the UK.

The team will be responsible for the performance of the direct book of business, whilst also supporting and servicing the needs of their International clients.

This role will play a key part in the continued development of the offering to their clients, including driving and building key relationships across their market as they look to satisfy our clients’ needs and grow the account.

It will require a good technical underwriting knowledge in the Property and/or Casualty lines of business, as you will be responsible for underwriting key accounts, driving intelligent new business growth and acting as a senior authority holder within the business. You will also be responsible for supporting the wider progression of the Multinational team by providing training and development for less experienced team members.

Skills required:

Strong technical underwriting skills in commercial property and casualty Multinational business and an understanding of its key principles is desirable Excellent trading skills and a confident negotiator. Proven experience in handling large cases Strong ability to build, develop and maintain broker relationships Achievement orientated, able to organise own workload to meet tight deadlines and with a positive attitude A good team player - supportive to others with an enthusiastic and positive attitude Confident and engaging communication skills with the ability to challenge and influence others
