Senior Surveyor - Commercial Property and Asset Management

Birmingham | Leading Property Consultancy

I'm working with a leading global property consultancy in Birmingham that is looking to appoint a Senior Surveyor into its established Property Management team. This is more than a traditional day-to-day management position. You'll work closely with Asset Managers, occupiers and specialist teams, giving you exposure to asset strategy, ESG, major works, acquisitions and disposals, alongside core property management.

The role

You'll take responsibility for a portfolio of commercial assets and act as a key point of contact for both clients and occupiers.

• Managing day-to-day relationships with Asset Managers and clients
• Overseeing occupier matters, lease compliance, licences, alterations, assignments and underlettings
• Managing service charge budgets, reconciliations and cash flow
• Working alongside finance teams on rent, expenditure and credit control matters
• Undertaking regular property inspections and resolving operational issues
• Supporting acquisitions, disposals and property transitions
• Working with FM and specialist teams on ESG initiatives and major works
• Building strong occupier relationships and improving customer experience
• Supporting insurance matters, claims and void property management
• Producing client reporting and attending regular client meetings
• Identifying opportunities to provide additional services across the portfolio
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team where required

About you

• 3+ years' commercial property management experience
• MRICS qualification or be working towards it
• Strong landlord, tenant and lease management knowledge
• Experience managing service charges and property finances
• Confidence dealing directly with clients and Asset Managers
• Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving skills
• The ability to manage multiple properties and priorities
