As a Controllership Accountant - Property, you will combine your technical accounting knowledge with communication and prioritisation skills to ensure that we maintain a strong control environment and accurate reporting of the Property P&L and Fixed asset/Lease accounting. You will have responsibility for:
Accounting for the key lease and capital areas, including management of a £10bn asset register and accounting advisory to a range of internal customers
Monthly and annual reporting and forecasting of key asset and property related lines
Business partnering with multiple teams across finance and beyond
Taking responsibility for key control processes in the Controllership - Property team remit (e.g. Month and quarter end processes, reconciliation review and reporting, control framework review and execution)
Driving process improvement and efficiencies through the use of digital tools and automation
Opportunity to get involved in significant property transaction work
Line management and coaching of junior colleagues

You should be a Qualified Accountant with post qualification experience (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) able to manage and prioritise and workload with strong attention to detail.
You should also have the following:
Able to effectively work independently, manage and prioritising competing tasks and deliverables
Great analytical skills, problem solving and an eye for detail
Proficient in the use of Excel; experience in use of SAP and digitalanalyticstools isdesirable
Confidence liaising with stakeholders at all levels
Able to think laterally, challenge the status quo to drive efficiencies across processes
Experience of coaching junior colleagues
