“Find your role”

As a Controllership Accountant - Property, you will combine your technical accounting knowledge with communication and prioritisation skills to ensure that we maintain a strong control environment and accurate reporting of the Property P&L and Fixed asset/Lease accounting. You will have responsibility for:

  • Accounting for the key lease and capital areas, including management of a £10bn asset register and accounting advisory to a range of internal customers

  • Monthly and annual reporting and forecasting of key asset and property related lines

  • Business partnering with multiple teams across finance and beyond

  • Taking responsibility for key control processes in the Controllership - Property team remit (e.g. Month and quarter end processes, reconciliation review and reporting, control framework review and execution)

  • Driving process improvement and efficiencies through the use of digital tools and automation

  • Opportunity to get involved in significant property transaction work

  • Line management and coaching of junior colleagues

You should be a Qualified Accountant with post qualification experience (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) able to manage and prioritise and workload with strong attention to detail.

You should also have the following:

  • Able to effectively work independently, manage and prioritising competing tasks and deliverables

  • Great analytical skills, problem solving and an eye for detail

  • Proficient in the use of Excel; experience in use of SAP and digitalanalyticstools isdesirable

  • Confidence liaising with stakeholders at all levels

  • Able to think laterally, challenge the status quo to drive efficiencies across processes

  • Experience of coaching junior colleagues
