Project Supervisor - FM Provider - Hertfordshire - 45K

Do you have experience managing small works projects? Do you have a track record in the commercial maintenance industry? If yes, then read on...

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for one of the leading maintenance providers on a large university campus in Hertfordshire.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing small works projects, ensuring they are delivered to a high standard. Projects include refurbishments, lifecycle works, and new installations.

In return, the company offers a competitive salary of up to £45,000, along with further training and career progression.

Key duties & responsibilities:

• Manage all small works projects, including electrical, mechanical, and fabric works, valued up to £20k.
• Undertake a PPM schedule of active maintenance tasks.
• Manage building refurbishment projects as required.
• Develop project schedules, ensure deadlines are met, and prioritize critical path items.
• Oversee staff moves and changes, managing internal resources.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations during project work.
• Arrange quotations, raise purchase orders, and approve invoices using workflow tools.
• Organize workload and plan preventative maintenance and new work requests efficiently.
• Ensure all maintenance targets are met.

Requirements:

• Good understanding of electrical, mechanical, and fabric works, with knowledge of managing small projects.
• Previous fit-out experience.
• Contractor management skills and ability to build professional relationships with suppliers.
• Experience working in commercial buildings.
• Experience with risk assessments and issuing permits to work.
• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
• IOSH Managing Safety certification or equivalent (desirable).
