Job description

A top-tier UK law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Projects Lawyer to join its award-winning Commercial Projects team. This opportunity is ideal for a senior associate or commercial solicitor with expertise in PFI / PPP projects, particularly within sectors such as education, transport and infrastructure.
This is an opportunity to work with nationally recognised experts on complex, high-value public sector and infrastructure projects - with real impact and long-term career development.

The Role
You'll take a leading role in delivering and managing a variety of complex commercial and infrastructure projects, including:

• Advising on operational PFI and PPP contracts - including contract management, interpretation, and variation
• Supporting public and private sector clients through PFI/PPP expiry and handback transitions
• Leading on commercial transactions including outsourcing, joint ventures, shared services, and partnership agreements
• Collaborating across departments (finance, disputes, property, employment, pensions, IT/IP) to deliver full-service legal solutions
• Contributing to business development and mentoring junior lawyers

Who would this role suit?

• UK-qualified Solicitor or Associate with 5+ years' PQE
• Strong experience in PFI/PPP contracts, project delivery, or major commercial infrastructure matters
• Previous work with public sector bodies or sponsors on complex infrastructure projects
• Exposure to expiry planning and future service delivery for PFI/PPP contracts is highly desirable
