Hours 35 hours per week; hybrid working (2-3 days in the office per week)

This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of the Scotland Food & Drink Partnership’s Net Zero Commitment by managing a portfolio of projects that accelerate the food and drink sector’s transition to net zero. If you are passionate about climate action and skilled in project management and stakeholder engagement, we’d love to hear from you.

Key responsibilities:

Project Delivery & Coordination

  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of Net Zero programme projects, including development of case studies.
  • Coordinate with delivery partners, consultants, and internal teams to ensure milestones are met and outputs are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Maintain a detailed project plan and risk register, updating regularly in line with programme governance.

Monitoring, Reporting & Evaluation

  • Prepare six-monthly operational and financial reports for the funder, as required by the grant agreement.
  • Track progress against KPIs and success indicators outlined in the programme aims.
  • Support the Programme Director in preparing board updates and annual reviews.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Liaise with businesses, trade bodies, and public sector partners to ensure alignment and buy-in.
  • Support the Programme Delivery Group and External Advisory Group
  • Represent the programme at industry events and workshops as required.
  • Communications & Knowledge Sharing
  • Work with the PR agency and communications partners to disseminate project outputs (e.g. infographics, case studies).
  • Contribute to the development of guidance materials and toolkits for businesses.
  • Promote learning and best practice across the sector

Requirements

  • Proven experience in project management, ideally in sustainability, food and drink, or public-private partnership contexts.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with environmental sustainability concepts, including Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
  • Experience working with grant-funded programmes and reporting to public sector funders.
  • Understanding of the Scottish food and drink sector and its sustainability challenges.
  • Knowledge of carbon literacy training or emissions reduction strategies.
