Your work will directly influence the reliability and sustainability of our production lines, ensuring materials flow efficiently from procurement to assembly.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Create and improve logistics systems for managing materials, warehouse operations, and production support, following Siemens' global standards.
  2. Lead efforts to improve how materials are delivered by working closely with teams in the UK and abroad to align with practices used at other Siemens factories.
  3. Work with departments like R&D, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction to make sure logistics plans match project schedules and budgets.
  4. Manage supplier evaluations, tenders, and contract negotiations for logistics services like transport, storage, and packaging—focusing on cost savings and compliance.
  5. Organize and supervise on-site logistics, including setting up or moving infrastructure and managing third-party service providers.
  6. Use tools like SAP and MS Project to track supply chain costs, provide insights, and support decision-making for project leaders.
  7. Plan ahead to avoid supply disruptions and keep production running smoothly.

Essential Skills & Experience:
  1. Proven track record in logistics/warehouse management, ideally with experience setting up new warehouse operations.
  2. Strong project management expertise, with the ability to lead initiatives independently (e.g., using MS Project).
  3. Proficiency in SAP for supply chain planning and execution.
  4. Experience in tender processes, supplier negotiations, and cost optimization.
  5. Exceptional communication skills to engage stakeholders across global teams.
  6. Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and Lean principles.

Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Familiarity with rail or heavy engineering sectors.
  2. Knowledge of international logistics regulations and compliance standards.
