Job description

Venturi Healthcare are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Joiner. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting with development projects and maintenance works across our care home sites in the Merseyside and Lancashire area. The ideal candidate will have multi-trade experience and be able to undertake a range of building and maintenance tasks including painting and decorating, plumbing and tiling.

The post holder will hold a full clean driving licence that includes driving class N1 vehicles and must be able to drive for business purposes.

The Job Role:

  • Carrying out required construction, repair, and installation work on buildings and other structures
  • Installing fixtures and fittings including fire doors
  • Fitting of kitchens/bathrooms
  • Adjusting doors, hinges, closures and changing locks
  • Completing finishing work where required such as plastering, painting, and tiling
  • Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations including Fire Safety regulations
  • Ability to understand and work from technical drawings and specifications
  • Communicating with the Facilities Manager, Home Manager and other team members to ensure tasks are completed to the required standard.

About You:

To succeed in this job role you will have:

  • Proven experience as a Carpenter/Joiner
  • Multi-trade experience, with the ability to undertake a range of building and maintenance tasks
  • Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong time management to arrive on site on time and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Able to travel to all care home sites as required
  • NVQ Level 3 Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent
