Job description

Projects Engineer
Location: Dudley. DY1 4DA.
Salary: at £50K+ upwards depending on experience plus performance bonus, pension, car, health insurance, Paycare, life assurance, EAP and cycle to work scheme.
Contract: Full time, permanent. 40 hours per week.

About the Role:
The projects engineer will provide high levels of customer service by driving business objectives on delivery, profitability, budget sales and resource management.

Main Duties:

  1. Management of day-to-day customer requirements, including attending site to establish a suitable engineering solution to meet with the client's approval.
  2. An amount of administration towards day-to-day processes, orders, quotes, route cards, sales orders etc.
  3. Processing daily activities through the business EMIR system.
  4. Management of WIP through regular review meetings.
  5. Work scheduling.
  6. Control of purchasing for your area of responsibility.
  7. Sales forecasting and review responsibility for your area of responsibility.
  8. Ensuring excellent Quality Standards throughout, ensuring Company Process & Procedures are followed.
  9. Working to Business Standards ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.
  10. Presenting Departmental Performance to Management Team.
  11. Provide High Levels of Customer Service & Communication.
  12. Focused on Non-conformance management and reduction.
  13. Full project management as each project requires, covering design, buy off, labour and material, scheduling, customer liaising, on time delivery and within budget.
  14. Covering other roles within the business as required.

  2. Experienced in some or all aspects of Machining, Fabrication, Rotating Equipment and Mechanical Assemblies & Site based Installation.
  3. Problem solving and analytical skills.

  7. A Capable Client Relationship Manager.
  8. IT Literate & Administratively Competent.

  11. A Natural Team Player.

Education / Experience:
  1. 3+ Years in engineering project management / business development / leadership roles.
  2. Experience in specific industries or fields related to projects managed can be valuable.
  3. Experience in leading teams, managing resources (and supply chain) and communicating effectively with stakeholders is crucial.
  4. Qualifications in engineering and leadership are helpful.
