About The Role

This is a Fixed Term contract for 24 months (duration of the apprenticeship).

Apprenticeship pay rates for this post are dependent on age. Please see below for the applicable rates:

  • Under 18 years - £15,337 per annum
  • 18-20 years - £20,063 per annum
  • 21+ years - £23,555 per annum

We are looking for a Projects and Events Assistant Apprentice. This role has diverse responsibilities, including supporting the RE: Workshop and Enterprise and Employability Events and Projects Team. This will include supporting all incoming RE: Projects where applicable, managing social media platforms, and building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to book events and projects that will contribute to the financial targets of the RE: Workshop.

In addition, you will support the RE: Workshop Manager with scheduling, budget management, and invoices, as well as writing and securing funding from internal and external funding bids. For the Events and Projects Team, you will support the design and delivery of creative and innovative events to prepare our young people for the world of work.

The School of Enterprise and Employability offers a wide range of study programmes and apprenticeship opportunities to both 16-18 and 19+ learners. Our courses include Level 1 Personal Social Development, Level 2 Enterprise and Employability, and Level 1 and Level 2 Creative Craft, aimed at developing employability skills for next steps such as further education, employment, or apprenticeships. Our department is vibrant, with an exceptional reputation for a ‘learning by doing’ curriculum, full of energy and passion.

What You Will Do
  • Support the RE: Workshop to organise a range of RE: Workshops for external individuals and businesses.
  • Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to increase the reach of RE: within Luminate and Leeds, supporting financial targets.
  • Manage the RE: social media pages including LinkedIn, Instagram, and Link Tree to enhance the profile of the RE: Workshop both internally and externally.
  • Develop the RE: online shop and website platform to increase product sales and workshop bookings.
  • Assist the RE: Workshop Manager in meeting the financial targets set in Business Planning.
About You
  • Relevant qualifications up to and including Level 3, e.g., BTEC National, AS level, A Level.
  • Level 2 in English and Maths.
  • Willing to work towards achieving the L4 Project Management Apprenticeships.
  • Experience of working in a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships within and across teams.
