The Stravaig project is seeking a compassionate project worker who can think on their feet and help make a real difference to the people we support. Stravaig offers emergency homeless accommodation providing a nurturing environment for 9 individuals aged 16-25. Residents require intense support and stabilization, alongside engagement in therapeutic activities and outings. We are looking for someone passionate about supporting others, with excellent communication and listening skills. IT skills are essential as we work towards a paperless environment.
Meet D, a 19-year-old who was accommodated in Stravaig during an emergency after experiencing homelessness due to addiction struggles. D’s background includes a difficult childhood, and they are working to develop skills such as tidiness and budgeting to live independently. D enjoys playing pool, cooking lessons, and watching boxsets. They need supportive, non-judgemental staff to motivate them and help reach their goals.
