Job ref: REQ00933

The Stravaig project is seeking a compassionate project worker who can think on their feet and help make a real difference to the people we support. Stravaig offers emergency homeless accommodation providing a nurturing environment for 9 individuals aged 16-25. Residents require intense support and stabilization, alongside engagement in therapeutic activities and outings. We are looking for someone passionate about supporting others, with excellent communication and listening skills. IT skills are essential as we work towards a paperless environment.

Meet D, a 19-year-old who was accommodated in Stravaig during an emergency after experiencing homelessness due to addiction struggles. D’s background includes a difficult childhood, and they are working to develop skills such as tidiness and budgeting to live independently. D enjoys playing pool, cooking lessons, and watching boxsets. They need supportive, non-judgemental staff to motivate them and help reach their goals.

If you genuinely want to support and empower people like D, Stravaig could be the perfect place for you. We need hardworking, committed individuals with effective communication skills and a positive role model attitude.

  • Access to Mungo Money benefits scheme: discounts on groceries, fuel, cinema, restaurants, holidays, gym memberships, and cycle-to-work schemes
  • 33 days’ annual leave (based on 38 hours/week)
  • Extensive training and development opportunities

If unqualified, you will work towards a suitable qualification aligned with SSSC requirements, with our support.
