The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, on a rota basis from Monday to Sunday, covering early (8AM - 4PM) and late (2:30PM - 10:30PM) shifts. Temporary cover is needed for approximately 2-3 months due to performance considerations.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a caseload of 8 key clients, conducting regular key working sessions, and developing Support Plans focused on substance misuse support, independent living skills, move-on planning, and safeguarding concerns.
- Completing comprehensive risk and needs assessments with clients, including those who may be ambivalent about support or have had difficult prior experiences.
- Responding to referrals within agreed timescales for both existing service users and new referrals, supporting integration into services.
- Identifying care pathways and treatment options, supporting clients to acquire necessary skills for participation in treatment settings.
- Coaching clients, advocating on their behalf, and making referrals to relevant specialists.
- Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders such as other services, external agencies, treatment providers, service user groups, and peer-led communities.
- Working with residents to maximize benefit entitlements, secure project income, and manage rent collection, arrears, and voids.
- Assisting residents with budgeting skills and setting up bank or savings accounts.
- Ensuring timely preparation and re-letting of voids to maximize rental income.
- Responding to complex needs in a residential setting with a psychologically-informed approach.
- Monitoring and reporting maintenance issues and participating in housing management procedures, including safety checks.

To qualify, you must have:
- Experience working with clients with complex needs, including substance use, offending, mental health issues, street activity, anti-social behavior, physical health, and trauma backgrounds.
- Experience in supported accommodation for adults and understanding of trauma-informed care.
- Experience in assessment, casework, support planning, goal setting, and advocacy.
- Analytical skills, calmness in crises, and ability to respond creatively and safely to challenging situations.
- Understanding of issues affecting progress towards independence, such as mental health, substance misuse, self-harm, domestic violence, and learning impairments.
- Knowledge of the Strengths and Recovery Model and its application within a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE).
- Ability to engage, support, and motivate clients through activities and treatment engagement.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and database systems for accurate record-keeping.
- Confidence, reliability, and passion for empowering clients to achieve positive outcomes.
- Previous experience using Inform software.
