An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Project Worker to support clients facing mental health challenges and substance misuse. In this role, you will float between two services, providing essential support and guidance to help individuals live independently. Your responsibilities will include developing support plans, conducting risk assessments, and teaching vital life skills. Job description

Project Worker

Hourly Rate: £18 per hour Umbrella or £15.82 PAYE (inc holiday £17.72)

Duration: 3 months

Hours: Monday – Friday, 9-5pm

St Albans service and Watford service (approx. 10 min drive apart) over the course of the week. Required to float between services. Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.

Would require a driving licence and use of own car

Daily duties:

  • Working with a caseload of clients
  • Supporting people suffering from mental health issues and drug and alcohol misuse
  • Carrying out support plans and risk assessments
  • Teaching life skills and preparing clients to live independently in the community
  • Supporting clients with budgeting and applying for housing benefits to reduce rent arrears
  • Actively encouraging and facilitating activities to engage and involve the young people
  • Promoting independence at all times
  • Always adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures
