About the role

Balfour Beatty is looking for a Project Trainer to join our Power Transmission and Distribution Team covering England and Wales.

The Project Trainer will work alongside our SMEs and training team to deliver training programs to our Site Engineers across the country, assessing all project staff trainees to ensure compliance with legislation and company standards.

This role can be based anywhere within England and Wales, involving regular travel to Power T&D sites. A company car will be provided, and overnight expenses are covered. When not traveling, the role can be done remotely.

What you'll be doing

• Assess project staff trainees for compliance with legislation and standards.
• Collaborate with the training team to evaluate and improve training effectiveness, developing new materials as needed.
• Develop training materials and activities.
• Assess, manage, and deliver project role training and support.
• Train and deliver various training packages (e.g., setting to work, managing subcontractors).
• Produce training programs for project roles.
• Deliver training and assess end-point assessment events.
• Travel across the UK for assessment and training delivery.
• Continuously develop your professional capabilities.

Who we're looking for

Essential:

• Experience in construction, power, or utilities industry at a supervisor/engineer level.
• Ability to lead and manage work teams.
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Desirable:

• Previous training experience, knowledge sharing, coaching.
• Training and assessment qualifications (e.g., CIPD/CPD).
• Management or supervision qualification.
