A leading consultancy is urgently seeking experienced Project Technical Leads to support the delivery of multiple non-infrastructure water and wastewater schemes across the UK. This is a key freelance opportunity for design professionals who can coordinate technical delivery, ensure collaboration across disciplines, and drive progress in line with programme milestones.
Act as the technical lead on non-infrastructure projects, overseeing and coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams (Process, Civil, MEICA).
Ensure effective technical integration across all engineering disciplines throughout the design lifecycle.
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the client, attending meetings and providing updates.
Work closely with the Project Manager to align technical delivery with the programme schedule.
Provide oversight to ensure the design is compliant, coordinated, and buildable.
Manage technical risks and support quality assurance and design governance processes.
Proven experience in leading technical delivery of non-infrastructure water/wastewater projects, ideally within UK water frameworks.
Background in Civil, Mechanical, or Process engineering.
Strong track record of multidisciplinary coordination and design leadership.
Confident in client-facing environments with excellent communication skills.
Good understanding of design standards, safety in design, and quality procedures.
