Position: Project Team Manager | 8132 | Permanent contract | 37 hours/week | £55,147 - £60,676/year | Grade M | Norwich
We are offering an opportunity to become a Design Team Manager within the Better Parking Strategy Team at County Hall, Norwich, with hybrid remote working.
We seek an experienced Design Team Manager skilled in delivering parking infrastructure projects and knowledgeable about Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs). Your role will involve overseeing the design team to deliver parking-related projects across Norfolk, focusing on process improvements and partnership working to support high-profile parking and highway safety schemes.
You will ensure solutions are delivered in consultation with local stakeholders, possess negotiation skills for difficult situations, and have experience working in political environments. Strong contractual awareness, relationship-building skills, extensive design and highways maintenance experience (over 10 years), and preferably Chartered or Incorporated Highway/Civil Engineer status are required. Experience managing technical teams, delivering projects on time and budget, and operational efficiency is advantageous.
You will collaborate with the County Council’s Better Parking Strategy Team, professional services consultants, legal teams, and stakeholders to ensure proper resourcing and high standards.
