Job description

We're about to embark on replacing our social care case management system affecting almost 3,000 employees. It is a substantial project and will require significant engagement from services across the county. We're looking for Support Officers to join our motivated, forward-thinking project team.

These are 18 month fixed term posts.

Main Responsibilities

You will work closely with our implementation partner and workstream leads to support the delivery of our new system (Liquidlogic), working in areas such as System Design and Configuration, Finance, Testing and User Support. Some of the tasks you might undertake as part of the role:

  • Complete tasks assigned from the project plan by the workstream lead accurately and within required timescales.
  • Document and escalate issues encountered in a timely manner.
  • Write test scripts for users to follow to test areas of the new system.
  • Support data cleansing activities being undertaken by service areas, providing reports and data extracts as required.
  • Provide reliable and consistent support to users on-site or via the helpdesk, e.g. answering routine queries, investigating and resolving issues, and signposting to available guidance where appropriate.
The Ideal Candidate

You'll have:

  • Excellent communication skills because you'll interact with lots of people across the organisation and external partners and contractors.
  • Credible experience of quickly building effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Good planning and organisation skills as you'll be working to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to analyse technical functionality and translate it into easy-to-understand guidance.
  • An eye for detail with ability to identify issues and solutions quickly.
  • A flexible approach to work as sometimes things can change, and so you'll need to be able to prioritise work and sometimes change focus quickly.
  • Full knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and the ability to utilise the main applications.
