Project Support Officer - SEND Transformation

Project Support Officer - SEND Transformation GBP268.18/day Inside IR35 Part-Time Local Gov Thames Valley (Hybrid)

Salt is partnering with a forward-thinking Local Authority in the Thames Valley region to recruit an experienced Project Support Officer to support a key SEND Transformation Programme.

Start: 15th June 2025

End: 31st January 2026

Hours: 3 days/week Onsite 1-2 days/week

Rate: GBP268.18/day Inside IR35

This is a part-time contract role, ideal for someone confident working independently and proactively in a programme support environment. The role focuses on improving outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Supporting complex programmes through accurate and timely project documentation
  • Tracking actions, risks, and milestones across the programme
  • Coordinating workshops, stakeholder meetings, and events
  • Taking concise minutes and following up on actions
  • Preparing reports and communicating effectively across teams
  • Managing competing demands with minimal supervision
What You'll Bring:
  • Must-have: Experience supporting SEND transformation projects or programmes
  • Nice-to-have: Previous Local Government experience
  • Strong data skills; proficient in Excel and able to derive insights from data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a hybrid environment
