We’re looking for enthusiastic and organised Project Support Officers to join our team. You’ll play a vital role in delivering a wide range of innovative projects that reduce flood risk and enhance the natural environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to meaningful work that makes a real difference.
As a Project Support Officer, you will:
- Support Project Executives and Managers in the successful delivery of projects.
- Assist Team Leaders with administrative tasks across projects and programmes.
- Manage digital workspaces and support financial tracking and reporting.
- Provide administrative support for office and site-based meetings.
- Produce letters, reports, and other key documents.
- Contribute to Business as Usual processes and team coordination.

The team
Programme and Project Delivery provides expert project and programme management at both regional and national levels. Our award-winning, area-based teams deliver a diverse project portfolio—from flood risk and climate resilience to wildlife and nature restoration all with great community engagement. This role sits within an area-focused team of Project Leaders, Executives, Managers, and Support Officers who manage project delivery in collaboration with trusted delivery partners to achieve high-quality, sustainable outcomes.
Experience/skills Required
- A Levels (or equivalent) are desirable.
- Positive, proactive, and enthusiastic.
- Innovative with an eye to improve existing processes.
- Great communication skills.
- Organised, with the ability to use initiative and positively manage own time.
- Able and willing to coordinate activities and collaborate with others.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office 365, with focus on PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint and MS Teams. Opportunities to hone skills will be available in post.
- An ability to analyse, interpret and display data, for effective presentation would be advantageous.
- Some knowledge and experience of Information Management and financial processes would be useful.
- Able to work under pressure, prioritising workload and achieving deadlines is a must.
