AtkinsRéalis has a long-standing reputation in the Nuclear sector for delivering innovative, efficient, and sustainable solutions to some of the world's most complex engineering challenges. We support the full lifecycle of the nuclear industry, from developing the next generation of nuclear stations and maintaining existing assets, to addressing the challenges of decommissioning. As the demand for sustainable energy continues to grow across the UK and globally, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that positively impact people, communities, and the environment.

We are currently experiencing significant growth and are looking for a Project Support Officer to join our Project Support Team in Bristol or Glasgow. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, has an interest in finance and process improvement, and is looking to further develop their skills within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Your role

As a Project Support Officer, you will play an important role in supporting the Framework Manager and wider project teams, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of day-to-day framework activities. Your ability to organise information, build strong relationships, and maintain high levels of accuracy will contribute to the success of the team and our client commitments.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and maintaining project data within spreadsheets, ensuring information is accurate, complete, and up to date.
  • Monitoring the client Contract Management Portal (CONTRACTS), including uploading and downloading documents, distributing information, and supporting team communications.
  • Maintaining and updating the Framework database.
  • Managing the team inbox, responding to queries, and coordinating requests in a timely manner.
  • Updating and tracking opportunities through the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Supporting Project Managers and the Project Support Team in ensuring processes are followed from work-winning through to project delivery and close-out, in line with client and AtkinsRéalis requirements.
  • Assisting with the review of monthly client reports to ensure quality and compliance with client expectations.
  • Contributing to a collaborative team environment while also taking ownership of assigned activities and responsibilities.
About you

You are someone who enjoys bringing structure and organisation to busy environments and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. You build positive working relationships with ease, communicate confidently with stakeholders at different levels, and be motivated by supporting teams to achieve shared goals.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience working with financial data and spreadsheets.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience using Excel to a competent level; knowledge of macros would be an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work successfully to deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confidence in building effective working relationships with colleagues, project managers, and stakeholders.
  • A collaborative approach, combined with the ability to work independently when required.
  • A proactive, adaptable, and self-motivated mindset.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • An education to A-Level standard (or equivalent) and GCSEs in Mathematics and English Language, or equivalent qualifications.
