Project Support Officer

£30,505.00 - 34,317.00 per annum
37 hours per week

We are seeking a driven and meticulous Project Support Officer to take on a critical coordination role within our Marine team. This is a high-impact position where you will work alongside Project Managers and stakeholders to support the delivery of complex, high-value projects. You will be expected to bring structure, precision, and initiative to a fast-paced environment-playing a central part in ensuring our strategic objectives are met on time and to the highest standard.

What we are looking for:
-Good understanding of project and programme management across all stages of the project lifecycle.
-Experience of supporting the effective identification and management of risks and issues, and application of lessons learned as part of programme/ project governance.
-Excellent communication skills, with a proven track record of successful liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
-Well-developed organisational, prioritising and negotiating skills, together with attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure and manage own workload.
-Experience of administering file sharing platforms and proven administrative skills.
-Strong IT proficiency, including MS Office products, with a proven track record of ability to learn new software packages and handle and analyse large data sets.
-Experience in providing advice and support on project-related matters.

It would be great if you also have:
-Level 3 in business administration or equivalent experience
-A relevant project qualification (e.g. APM Project Management Qualification or PRINCE2 Foundation/ Practitioner)
-Ability to utilise planning tools such as Microsoft Project Server
-Knowledge of budgeting, tracking, and forecasting project costs
-Experience working in a technical or public-sector project delivery environment
