Project Support Officer – SEND Transformation | £268.18/day Inside IR35 | Part-Time | Local Gov | Thames Valley (Hybrid)

Salt is partnering with a forward-thinking Local Authority in the Thames Valley region to recruit an experienced Project Support Officer to support a key SEND Transformation Programme.

Start: 15th June 2025

End: 31st January 2026

Hours: 3 days/week | Onsite 1-2 days/week

Rate: £268.18/day Inside IR35

This is a part-time contract role, ideal for someone confident working independently and proactively in a programme support environment. The role sits within a major transformation programme focused on improving outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Supporting complex programmes through accurate and timely project documentation
  • Tracking actions, risks, and milestones across the programme
  • Coordinating workshops, stakeholder meetings and events
  • Taking concise minutes and chasing up actions
  • Preparing reports and communicating effectively across multiple teams
  • Handling competing demands without needing constant supervision
What You’ll Bring:
  • Must-have: Experience supporting SEND transformation projects or programmes
  • Nice-to-have: Previous Local Government experience
  • Strong data skills – must be Excel-proficient and comfortable drawing insights from project data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and comfortable in a hybrid working environment
