Corporate Services Group / Strategic Change and Planning

Full-time: 35 hours per week

Open-Ended : Permanent

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Project Support Officers to join the Strategic Change Service within the Corporate Services Group.

Operating in direct support to the projects within the Portfolio, this role provides day to day support to the management and delivery of projects from both a technical and people perspective and a specific focus on ensuring they operate efficiently to required quality standards. The post holder will provide high quality project and change support, advice and guidance aligned to our service capability frameworks.

We are an expert team of professionals advising, coordinating, supporting and co-producing strategic initiatives and improvements in partnership with our colleges and services, and their constituent schools and departments. We are driven by a commitment to deliver positive outcomes that benefit those who work, study and partner with the University.

The role holder will line managed by the Portfolio Office Manager and will play a significant part in the delivery of a high-quality support to the portfolio of activity and our broader University network of stakeholders who support the delivery of portfolio.

We are open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

Your Skills And Attributes For Success

  • Project management background and/or experience working in a project office environment
  • Experience of co-ordinating all Project Phases including Proposal, Initiation, Design, Implementation, Closure and Review
  • Experience of diary co-ordination and arranging meetings together with all related duties
  • Experience of supporting workshops and governance meetings including minute taking
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written
  • Excellent organisational skills and good understanding of core software packages including word, PowerPoint, excel.
