Project Support Office / Analyst (Identity & Access Management Programme) – Banking Client – London

Duration: 12 months

Rate: 400 – 600 per day (inside IR35)

Hybrid: 8 days onsite per month, the rest is remote working

Locations: London, Paris, Brussels or Amsterdam

Role description PSO Analyst – Planning & Budgeting (Identity & Access Management Programme)

We’re looking for a hands-on PSO Analyst to help managing the budgeting and planning side in the IDAM programme, which has a portfolio of +/- 20 projects.

You’ll work closely with project managers, the central PMO team and other delivery teams across to keep finances on track, support resource planning, facilitate quarterly plannings and make sure reporting runs smoothly.

PMO Responsibilities:

  • Budget support: Help project managers manage their budgets using tools like Excel, Oracle, and ServiceNow.
  • Data maintenance: Keep financial and resource data up to date and accurate across systems.
  • Forecast reviews: Challenge project managers on their forecasts and help them improve accuracy over time.
  • Financial reporting: Create monthly variance reports to show how actual spend compares to the planned costs.
  • Stakeholder coordination: Work with different teams to provide budget inputs for steering committees, regulatory reporting, recruitment etc.
  • Quarterly planning: Support quarterly demand and resource planning across the programme.
  • Facilitation: Run planning discussions with teams and get demand requests prioritised at the organisation, especially when there are dependencies to sort through.
  • Benefits & disbenefits tracking: Support project managers in identifying, tracking, and reporting on both expected benefits and any disbenefits, helping to capture the full impact of all projects.
  • Project status update reporting: Collect input from all project managers and summarise in a project status report on a monthly basis.
  • Milestone management: Tracking and coordinating key project checkpoints to ensure timely delivery and alignment with goals.
  • Preparation and facilitation of (steering committee) meetings: Prepare SteerCo slides and collect input from several contributors.
  • Meeting minutes and action tracking: Summarise key discussion points, actions and decisions and follow-up with action owners.
  • Quality assurance and controls management: Frequent checkpoints with project managers to maintain a high standard in terms of project life cycle documents, monthly reports and status updates, and steer and support where needed.
  • Risk management: Prepare programme risk overview and facilitate discussions with Risk Management and Internal Audit.

Required skills/mindset:

  • Analytical Mindset: You are comfortable with numbers and spotting trends or inconsistencies.
  • Excel Skills: You know your way around spreadsheets or you are eager to learn quickly.
  • PowerPoint Skills: You are comfortable with creating slides and visually bringing a message across.
  • Communication Skills: You can explain things clearly and are comfortable with working with a range of people.
  • Proactive Attitude: You’re not afraid to ask questions, challenge things, or suggest improvements.
  • Tool Familiarity: Experience with Oracle or ServiceNow is a plus.
