The role

As aProject Support Assistant, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Join the Transformation Function at HMNB Devonport, where you'll gain broad exposure across submarines, infrastructure, and city-centre operations. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to be deployed across diverse environments, contributing to strategic change and operational improvement at the heart of naval engineering.

Day-to-day, you’ll Support the development and validation of Benefit, Risk, and Learning from Experience (LfE) data across the Portfolio, ensuring data integrity through single version of truth principles, enforcing governance standards, and maintaining up-to-date sources from project stakeholders.

  • Delivers timely, high-quality functional reporting aligned with brand standards
  • Upholds reporting governance and ensures stakeholder data sources remain current
  • Visualises data effectively to communicate compelling, goal-driven insights with high impact
  • Supports Project Leads in accurately maintaining RiskHive, Benefit Profiles, and LfE tools
  • Verifies programme data integrity, ensuring a clear and auditable trail

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.

Essential experience of the Project Support Assistant

  • Proficient in MS Excel, Visio, Project, and Power BI
  • Produces high-quality, branded Management Information tailored to diverse audiences
  • Familiar with project management frameworks, controls, and lifecycle phases
  • Strong written, verbal, and face-to-face communication; Project Controls or IT/data-management experience advantageous
  • Experience or understanding of working within a Project Management/Project Controls environment

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearance for this role.
