A well-established and award-winning consultancy is seeking a Structural Engineer to join their growing team in Cardiff. This consultancy is renowned for its high standards, diverse project portfolio, and commitment to delivering exceptional engineering solutions.

The Role

The Project Structural Engineer will:

  1. Deliver structural design solutions for a range of projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards and regulations.
  2. Utilise software such as Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, AutoCAD, and REVIT for project analysis and design.
  3. Manage project resources, maintain timelines, and collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  4. Attend project meetings and liaise with clients, professionally representing the company.
  5. Support junior engineers, offering mentorship and guidance to enhance team skills and performance.
Requirements

Candidates are expected to demonstrate:

  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (MEng, BEng, or equivalent); HNC/HND qualifications considered.
  • At least 3 years of post-graduate experience, with progression towards or attainment of Chartership with IStructE or ICE.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., Tekla, Tedds) and familiarity with BIM (REVIT).
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and an aptitude for mentoring less experienced team members.
