Project SHE Advisor (Safety, Health and Environmental)

Portsmouth (ideally), though open to locations across South of UK

Summary

We are seeking a Project SHE (Safety, Health and Environmental Advisor) to join our growing team. You will support the assigned project to implement and maintain an industry-leading, compliant Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental management system. Additionally, you will support the Project Manager, Project Team, and Client by addressing SHE issues and promoting continuous improvement across the project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety: Provide guidance to ensure a strong safety culture, support weekly site inspections, ensure compliance with SHE policies, and maintain accurate SHE records.
  • Incident Management: Investigate SHE-related accidents and incidents, complete reports following the 2-2-2 process, and communicate lessons learned and corrective actions.
  • Training and Competence: Support the application of the Health and Safety Management System and ensure effective communication of SHE information to the project team.
  • Best Practice and Continuous Improvement: Develop solutions for SHE issues and report innovations to ensure regional consistency.
  • Supply Chain Management: Support SHE performance reviews of the supply chain and communicate SHE alerts and knowledge shares.
Requirements
  • Good knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and industry best practices in a relevant sector
  • Understanding of Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems (OHSAS 45001)
  • Strong report writing, IT, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in leading safety culture and supporting project teams
