Job description

Overview

First Military Recruitment is currently seeking a Project Services Field Engineer on behalf of one of our clients. The role involves supporting the delivery of the Project Services Team to meet customer requirements, focusing on improving service delivery standards related to new store openings, closures, and modifications in existing estates, including structured cabling, software upgrades, IMAC, and remedial shop fitting works. While the client encourages applications from ex-military personnel, all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver on-site projects according to customer specifications and agreed statements of work, covering structured cabling, data communications, IMAC work, software upgrades, equipment decommissioning, and remedial shop fitting works, in line with product specifications and industry standards.
  2. Ensure all work complies with Health and Safety standards, maintaining control of risks to self, customer employees, and the public.
  3. Stay informed about changes in legislation and product development to uphold high standards.
  4. Keep the customer and Project Services Team updated on work progress.
  5. Report to the helpdesk as necessary, following escalation procedures.
  6. Update the Project Manager regularly to facilitate smooth communication with the customer.
  7. Accurately record stock deployment to maintain up-to-date inventory records.
  8. Complete all relevant documentation to enable timely performance reporting.
  9. Maintain contact with the Project Services Team for real-time logging and availability.
  10. Return and package decommissioned equipment for repair within two days, with proper documentation, assembly, and labeling.
  11. Perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by management.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience in a similar role.
  2. Excellent customer service skills.
  3. Flexibility regarding working hours and locations.
  4. Strong health, safety, and environmental compliance awareness.
  5. Full clean driving license.

Location: Birmingham, Bristol, London, Milton Keynes

Salary: £31,000 + Company Vehicle and Tools provided

Working Hours: Monday – Friday (40 hours per week)
