Qualifications

  • Previous experience in refit/installation/repair experience in a Maritime/Oil & Gas or similar engineering environment.
  • Awareness of general H&S/Environmental regulations and safe working practices.
  • Basic understanding of the requirement of planning, scheduling and controls that are required in the delivery of a project.
  • Experience of working across multi teams.

Job Title: Project Scheduler Assistant

Location: Portsmouth.We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Up to £30,000 dependent on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

As a Project Scheduler Assistant, the individual in this role will be supporting the Warship Support scheduling community across a range of projects. The role will report to the Scheduling Manager. Your core duties will include:

  • Ensuring schedules remain relevant to work enablement and project delivery
  • Ability to support ship visits to evaluate customer requirements in more detail and understand project progress
  • PC literate with Microsoft Project desirable and able to use or learn an ERP system such as SAP as well as other Integrated Business Systems (IBS)

Your skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience in refit/installation/repair experience in a Maritime/Oil & Gas or similar engineering environment
  • Awareness of general H&S/Environmental regulations and safe working practices
  • Basic understanding of the requirement of planning, scheduling and controls that are required in the delivery of a project
  • Experience of working across multi teams

The Maritime and Land Defence solutions team:

As a Project Scheduler Assistant, you will support the team on a range of projects but within a wider team of around 17 schedulers. There will be opportunities to work with other schedules on larger-scale projects. You will work closely and support other Project Managers and Project Controllers, the Delivery and engineering teams - as well as senior stakeholders within the MOD.
