Job summary

Solomons Europe seeks a Project Quantity Surveyor to be a trusted commercial adviser embedded within client delivery teams. You’ll work with clients, Tier 1/2 contractors and specialists across sectors on major infrastructure projects.

You’ll provide commercial and contractual support across NEC4 projects, build relationships, identify opportunities, manage risk, and drive performance while supporting governance and end-to-end life cycles. This role is site-based with regular site engagement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supporting clients on live projects and end-to-end life cycle.
• Experience in forecasting, CVR, and financial reporting.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Collaborative, solutions-focused mindset for project delivery.
• Desire for continuous improvement and professional development.
• Ideally knowledge of NEC4 contracts and pursuit of relevant memberships (RICS/CIPS/ICE).
• Experience in multidisciplinary project teams.

As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be a trusted commercial advisor seconded and embedded within client delivery teams. No two secondments are the same — you’ll work with client organisations, Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors, and specialist subcontractors across diverse sectors.

From site-based problem-solving to commercial strategy, you’ll help to deliver major infrastructure and engineering projects while influencing contract performance and project success. This role puts you right at the center of project delivery. You’ll be out on site regularly, working closely with delivery teams and seeing the impact of your work first‑hand.

• What you’ll bring to the role:
• Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Engineering, or a related discipline (HNC/HND qualifications also considered with experience)
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business travel
• Proven experience of supporting clients on live projects, full end to end life project cycle.
• Experience in forecasting, Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR), and financial reporting
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset
• A passion for continuous improvement, learning, and professional development
• Ideally holds experience or developing knowledge of NEC4 contracts and commercial strategies
• Ideally working towards, or interested in pursuing a professional membership with RICS, CIPS, or ICE preferred
• Ideally, experienced working within multidisciplinary project teams
